Abba Father,
Help me be through with “what used to be”,
So the past will be over and then free my heart.
Lord, it will belong only to You to mend,
Make every crack and chip a work of Your art.

Walk with me through the Valley of What Should Have Been,
Free me of the shackles of ego and pride,
Then show me who I am through You,
A daughter loved at her Father’s side.

Drain me of the wasted energy expelled,
Fighting to be vindicated after treated wrong.
Weave in my being Your perfect peace,
From my soul let me sing You a true love song.

Open Your presence and allow me in,
Please lift me up to come to You.
Renew in me the joy of being Your child,
Allowing me to worship and love You.
